[Guide]MU problem

If you are having MU crash difficulties(like I did), thats probably the

thread that might help you!

Case 1 : Mu client is just crashing after the loading screen or while

loading screen is almost done.
Reason : Client's computer is infected with trojan rootkits that hooks

api sockets and some more functions to steal data from the victim, these

functions when altered will cause not only mu client muguard enabled to

crash but also some tools using the same functions.

Solution 1 : Use this tool, karspersky special tool for this type of

rootkits, to remove this trojan rootkit and restore to original the api

functions altered by the said rootkit.

Solution 2 : Scan your computer with ESET Smart Security Business Edition

4.0.437 for viruses and make sure your computer is clean.
For daily updated Username and Password in order to update your virus

database signature visit www.nod325.com and copy/paste the details from

there.

Solution 3 : For ATi Graphic Card users:
1. Uninstall Catalyst 10.6 and it's drivers.
2. Search www.google.com for ATI Catalyst Your OS. Example: ATI Catalyst

Windows xp 32 bit
3. Download 10.4 and Install it. Reboot computer , Launch MU.

Solution 4 : Install Window7 x86 (32bit) since those players that had

game crash problems on xp and installed a fresh copy of windows7 had no

errors after that and the game and all other applications worked just

fine. Windows7 is the newest and most popular operating system provided

by microsoft and it runs fine on any computer that has atleast 1Ghz

processor and GB Ram. You may either use an original copy or simply use

the cracked versions on your own risk that have no difference from the

original cd by browsing www.google.com with the automatic search

keywords: " torrent download windows 7 32bit ".

Case 2 : BSOD / Computer Restarted when starting mu client.
Reason : Mu Client is started with compatibility mode.

Solution : Remove mu client compatibility mode in client shortcut/program

properties.

Case 3 : Client simply close upon starting without even reaching the

loading screen / opening the mu window.
Reason : Debugger is present,antivirus/firewall stop the game from

opening , DEP (Data Execution Prevention) is set to all programs and mu

client is started with limited user.

Solution : Close all debuggers before starting client, set DEP for

essential windows programs only (system properties > Advance Tab >

Performance Setting Button > Data Execution Prevention Tab) and run mu

client with admin level (run as... Admin in Vista/Win7) , and disable /

uninstall all antivirus or firewall software .

Case 4 : You receive error message "Can not connect to FTP"
Reason : Your firewall or antivirus is blocking the way and deathZoneMu

cant connect to the update FTP and update the game properly.

Solution : Let it pass trough firewall or antivirus , if you dont know

how to do that please uninstall (not stop ... UNINSTALL) your firewall

and antivirus

Case 5 : Your client crashes and you receive a message from the Antihack

Software saying some file is missing or altered
Reason : One of the key files in DeathZoneMu Client is missing (has been

deleted) or is altered(has been changed or modified)

Solution : Delete the client , download a new one and install once

again.When you install make sure your antivirus and firewall are turned

OFF so they wont attempt to modify any of DeathZoneMu`s files .
After a successful install , add DeathZoneMu to exceptions list in your

firewall and clear its way in the antivirus (if you dont know to do this

better uninstall both firewall and antivirus) , and then run the launcher

(DeathZoneMu.exe or the shortcut from your desktop) in order to update to

the latest version.

Case 6 : Your client crashes and you receive a message from the Antihack

Software saying "Client closed, muguard case 030, (OODS.exe) detected"
Reason : Your PC is infected with Malware.

Solution : Open google and search that "something.exe" (in this case

OODS.exe) , you will find out what it is and you will find alot of tools

in order to disinfect your PC.
Like this one for OODS.exe :

Case 7 : Your client crashes and you receive a message from the Antihack

Software saying "Client closed, muguard case 032"
Reason 1 : You have tried or some program in your pc tried to modify a

system file in the client.
Reason 2 : lldb.dat is locked

Solution : Delete the game and install it again , update it with launcher

and DO NOT modify any file in it , unblock lldb.dat and run with

administrator privileges.

To unblock lldb.dat go to DeathZoneMu Folder => MuGuard => right click

lldb.dat => properties => and you will see a window popping up and click

UNBLOCK
Also close any applications that interfere with the game including

process explorer and sadboxie.
